Who are Tate & Taylor?
Hi! It’s us! Welcome to our little corner of the internet. We’re a new brand ready to help you find the best for your furry friend. We’re so excited to get to know you and your pet. We’re named for our co-founders (you guessed it) Tate and Taylor Hill.
Who is Taylor?
Taylor Hill is a supermodel, content creator, actor, and philanthropist. Discovered at the age of 14, Taylor has worked with fashion houses and luxury brands around the world and graced the covers of many fashion magazines, including Vogue. Being in a highly competitive industry and constantly on the road, she longed for balance, companionship, and unconditional love. She found that (and more) in her late labradoodle, Tate. Since then, she has discovered her passion for dogs, pet content, and charitable organizations working with animals. Taylor is now the proud mom of Salem, a German Shepherd adopted through Animal Aid USA’s rescue program in Georgia.
Who is Tate?
Tate was Taylor’s BFF and forever love. He was known for donning debonair bow ties, sitting like a good boy, and his signature snaggletooth. When not traipsing around New York City, hiking in Colorado, or playing with his BFF, Mason, Tate could be found hunkering down on the couch with some sweet potatoes (his favorite). Sadly, Tate passed away from lymphoma in 2023, but his spirit lives on through Tate & Taylor. After all, Tate would want every pet to have a life as rich and fulfilling as his.
Why Tate & Taylor?
Taylor was just 18 when she adopted Tate. At the time, he was just a ball of fluff and she had no idea what to do with him. Like anyone would, she took to the internet. As you can imagine, there were tons of conflicting options, thousands upon thousands of products and no central place to find real, quality advice or community. So Tate & Taylor was born. The duo set out to create a place with curated, stylish and ethical products, expert tips and tricks and a place for pet owners to connect.
It was while Tate & Taylor was in the planning stages, Tate passed away. It was a devastating loss, and one many shared with Taylor over social media. It was amazing to see how her community came together to share their love of Tate and stories of their own pets. It was something Taylor knew she wanted to build on.
So instead of stepping away from Tate & Taylor, Taylor decided to honor Tate and keep his memory alive by continuing the Tate & Taylor mission – bringing joy to animals and people all over the world by creating a community of people, experts and brands who are as passionate as we are.
Now we are ready to bring Tate & Taylor to the world. And because Tate is at the heart and soul of our business, we’ve made sure giving back is at the center of all that we do. That’s why we work with a multitude of organizations, animal hospitals and advocacy groups to help raise awareness, get pets adopted and fund amazing work in our community.
